Was a fab night, really enjoyed myself. I livestreamed it on Facebook, which of course was a stupid thing to do. It got loads of Facebook views, and a handful of new Facebook followers, but gave them control of my video, so the link from here didn’t work for very long. I’ve taken the link down from my blog, as it just leads to other people’s videos now. Mine is still up on my Facebook page, but unless I can get to a working computer before it expires, I’m going to end up losing that. It’s no biggie, but was not the cleverest move.
Note to self (and anyone else who’s interested): don’t do that. Take your own video, keep control of it, and just make a small reel to give to them!
I am picking up more guest slots for 2024, if anybody out there wants to join the bandwagon and book me! Got a handful in the bag now and I’d love some more.
I’m having a slack month on the performance front, whilst trying to make progress with the boat painting. Got a slam in Shropshire on the 21st, and then I’ll just be doing a local turn for Wood.stock at the Northern Quarter in Huddersfield at the end of the month. Sunday business! 😎
I wrote this for Poetry Vs Noise and I love it! Think I’ll start using it as my regular set opener. I can now sandwich serious poems between a comical start and finish.
